Drops solve “here is a blob.” They don’t solve “here is a thing people should look at together.”
So I added media compositions: a card or player around drops you’ve already uploaded, streaming with Range support so video isn’t a sad full-download, and signed-in comments on the composition (separate from the public blog box). The list stays browse-first — create and edit live on their own pages.
There’s an optional Recommended sort later, fed by engagement signals if you want it. Standing and privacy knobs sit next to that so “smart sort” doesn’t become a surveillance product by accident.
